A unique opportunity to meet Madeleine (and Kees) and learn directly from her. You will enjoy two days of immersion in aromacare for wellbeing for the elderly and in geriatric care, covering general elderly care, dementia and other (neuro)geriatric disease patterns with total focus at the individual.
We will experience a true fusion between conventional essential oils, CO2 extracts and a variety of base oils and extracts.
After this two day class you will be able to:
- Make evidence, safety and comfort informed decisions on well chosen aromatics for burdensome symptoms in the elderly and frailest patients and their loved ones from a range of the best CO2’s and essential oils.
- Experience the best fragrant oils and CO2’s to connect to the deeper layers of memory and wellbeing beyond cognition to the heart of those who have shaped our present and future.
- Offer support on all levels, including mood changes, anxiety, unrest and depression, sleep problems, pain, respiratory and digestive issues, oral care, as well as care for the frail skin.
- Learn how aromatics can be used and dosed appropriately and safely for vulnerable patients.
- Have practiced gentle touch techniques for consolation at its best.
- Learn how to support loved ones in their needs and offer them tools for comfort care and self care.
The in person course is in Nashville (TN) with 7 CE h/day, including blending practice). Minimum 16, maximum 24 students.

I’m offering an intensive online (8h) interactive workshop in 2 parts with extensive insights in Parkinson’s Disease. In this Masterclass you will begaining insights in the mechanism of Parkinson’s and how essential oils and CO2 extracts may affect mood and neurotransmitter function, leading to improvement of its symptom burden, such as restlessness and anxiety, psychotic symptoms, sleep issues, pain and stiffness, and more. You will learn about their limitations and cautions, and I will give you tools to enrich your practice, illustrated by science and compelling cases. The course pack includes extensive handouts and some fragrant samples.

AquaCare in The Netherlands
The Dutch are known for their expertise in water management. Madeleine is taking the medicinal use of water to a different level: AquaCare is a complementary modality which can be an extremely valuable addition to any nurse’s, naturopath’s, massage therapist’s or aromatherapist’s practice.
In AquaCare, water in different temperatures and different states – from cold to hot, is utilised as a therapeutical tool to help prevent and treat health issues, and offer relief from symptoms and side effects. Think of fatigue, stress, anxiety, sleeplessness, but also digestive tract problems such as cramps and constipation, and pains – including muscle and joint pains, spasms and neuropathic pains.
There is a whole world of evidence and experience based benefits attached to the sensible use of water as a treatment modality. In this 3,5 day unique Masterclass, Madeleine will share her vast expertise with her characteristic passion. She will explain its working principles and cautions. Sometimes we can benefit further from additions to water, such as a carbonated bath, (epsom) salts, herbs or aromatics, which are discussed and experienced during class.
Madeleine has a special talent to think and work in possibilities rather than problem solving – as long as there is some water available, and she will show you how AquaCare may be fitted into any virtually treatment plan, even when facilities are limited.
